Rotary valves are used in several industrial fields: they can be used for dosing free-flowing materials, for discharging dust collectors or for feeding pneumatic transport systems.

Feeding of pneumatic transport system

Due to a very accurate machining, Motridal’s rotary valves guarantee a perfect seal covering a differential pressure range up to 1,5 bar. Motridal’s different types of models range from smallest feeders to bigger valves, with capacities up to 1.000 m3/h and satisfy all customer needs, ensuring performance and reliability even with very abrasive or sticky materials.

RECONDITIONING AND REBUILDING OF USED EQUIPMENT
Motridal can recondition, repair or, if necessary, rebuild used rotary valves.

After the valve has been completely dismounted, all the wear parts such as blades tips, seals and gaskets are replaced, while the main components, such as casing, flanges and rotor are cleaned and, if necessary, the surfaces are with hard materials and machined, in order to restore the clearances and the tolerances of a new machine.

The valve is then re-assembled and tested.

Reconditioning activities involve also the external surfaces, which are sand-blasted and painted in compliance with the original painting cycle.

Motridal’s rebuilding guarantees the same performances of a new machine, with costs savings exceeding 50%.

1 Casing can be made of cast iron or assembled in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel or wear-resistant steel. Inlet and outlet flanges are rectangular in order to allow higher capacity with a lower height of the valve. Casings are available also with ceramic lining or chromium plating on the internal surfaces.

3Sealing systems can consist of standard seals, stuffing box with adjustable packing gland, or blown-in-air system. Bearings and supports are installed outside the machine, properly spaced from the casing lateral flanges to avoid overheating.
4 Rotor can be open or closed, with adjustable sealing elements, bolted to the blades edges. The selection of construction materials is based on the characteristics of the product to be handled. Rotors with reduced volume are available for valves handling sticky materials or for applications which require continuity and accuracy.
